There were good wins for lots of Kent’s clubs on Saturday with Dartford, Tonbridge Angels and Welling United all tasting victory.

Elsewhere, both Bromley and Dover Athletic secured draws as all five of Kent’s Blue Square Bet South sides recorded respectable scorlines.

Goals from Jamie Day and Luis Cumbers helped Welling United to a 2-1 win at Chelmsford City, whilst a brace from Jacob Erskine and one from Tony Garrod saw Dartford beat Farnborough 3-0 at Princes Park.

Meanwhile, Olly Schulz’s first goal for new club Tonbridge Angels sealed all three points at the Longmead Stadium against Maidenhead United.

Billy Bricknell’s equaliser earnt Dover Athletic a point at Basingstoke Town, whilst Bromley and Eastleigh played out a goalless draw at Hayes Lane.

In the Ryman League Division One South, Hythe Town’s game at Whyteleafe was abandoned after 31 minutes when referee Ashley Slaughter had to be rushed to hospital after being stung by a bee.

Hythe were leading 1-0 at the time courtesy of Nick Reeves goal and the game will now have to be replayed at a later date.
